The University of North Florida (UNF) is a public university located in Jacksonville, Florida. Founded in 1972, it is now one of the state's twelve public universities and serves over 16,000 students through its five colleges – Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Human Services, Health, and Computing, Engineering and Construction. UNF offers more than 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as certificate programs. The university has a strong focus on student success, with a student-faculty ratio of 18:1 and an average class size of 27. UNF is also recognized for its beautiful natural campus, with more than 1,300 acres of lakes, tree-lined paths, and wildlife.
